VEDASPORT Adapted Sports Club

Founded in 2016, the VEDASPORT Adapted Sports Club was born with the purpose of offering all those people with disabilities who want to access sports the possibility of doing so. 6 years and more than 80 athletes later, VEDASPORT has managed to maintain itself as a club of reference in the adapted sports sector, both in the province of Alicante, hosting up to 6 different sports disciplines, serving more than 80 athletes, with various functionalities and with no age limit or degree of disability, both at the national level, since it has numerous Spanish champion titles and as many runners-up. A philosophy based on values. VEDASPORT has a fundamentally educational task, working for and for the integration and inclusion of people with disabilities in all areas of life and sports in particular. Seeking to raise awareness in society of the abilities of these people, who are often excluded due to the mere fact of having a disability. Fostering respect for them, through the example of daily improvement that makes them incredible. Our main philosophy is based on sportsmanship and extends to all levels of the club, from athletes and coaches, to family members, including managers, partners, monitors and volunteers and is based on a series of fundamental values such as:  Sportsmanship.  Discipline.  Commitment.  Solidarity. Structure. We have a technical staff made up of professionals who are sufficiently qualified and prepared to carry out their work in each of the sports disciplines, in accordance with the criteria established by the Board of Directors, in collaboration with the coordinator on whom each of the section managers report. . Coordinator. In charge of planning and managing activities, events, conferences and competitions. Qualified sports technicians. CAFYDE. TAFAD. Qualification of coach in various sports modalities. Responsible for directing each of the activities under the guidelines of the coordinator, as well as planning the training and technical work. Expert psychologist in neuropsychology and disability. Occupational therapists. Social workers. Physiotherapists. Sports monitors. Support staff for technicians in the activities. Auxiliaries. Physiotherapists, massage therapists, nutritionists and occupational therapists. Support staff for technicians in league days and tournaments. Volunteers. People who collaborate in the club in an altruistic, serious and committed way. They are in charge of giving support in the organization of league days, tournaments, activities and events. We work on training our technicians, assistants and volunteers, through training given by the club or through agreements with other entities in the sports and disability sector.
